In Riyadh Saudi Arabia (+966_572737505) Abortion pills in Riyadh
Welcome back to Fox and Friends. Progressives rejoicing as the Supreme Court rules to allow full access to an abortion drug, making it available until at least next year as appeals play out. Here's with what this means for the future of the pro-life movement in America, live action president Lila Rose. Lila, welcome to Fox and Friends. Good morning.
So tell us what mifepristone is. I can't say that right. Tell us what it is, why you think it's so dangerous. So mifepristone is part of the abortion pill. And what it is designed to do is block progesterone. It's a chemical that blocks progesterone, which is what a baby needs, a developing baby needs to survive in his or her mother's womb. So it's basically a poison designed to starve the baby of nutrients so that that baby will die. It's a lethal drug that was approved by the FDA in a fast-tracked process in the 1990s because the FDA was told a lie. It was told the lie that a pregnancy is a life-threatening medical condition and therefore drugs that kill the child are somehow medical treatment. When this is a total lie, this is a lethal drug that should have never been allowed on the market. It kills children. It's killed over 5 million children since it was approved, and it needs to be taken off the market.

Yeah, pregnancy is not a disease. That's for sure. So let's talk about what's happening culturally. So we're living in this new post-Roe versus Wade world, and yet here we are where a lot of politicians are concerned on the Republican side, on the pro-life side, about what this means for them, right? I think we have a cultural problem where we don't really acknowledge biology, Lila. So I think the pro-life movement thought, oh, science and technology is going to save us. 4D ultrasound technology and all the advances in saving preemie babies so they can live outside the womb. What do you do in a world where biology and science seems to matter less and your movement depends on that?
Well, I think we have to speak the truth even louder, Rachel. I think it's so key that we do not back down, that we're bold and unapologetic with our pro-life stance saying these are human lives. The science is clear. These are children from the moment of fertilization. And listen, life is a human right. It's the first human right. And national politics should absolutely be focused on protecting basic human rights. So when you have Republican candidates for president or you have politicians who want to cower or back down from this, that is a mistake. And I think that's actually going to be a mistake when it comes to elections because the pro-life faith is galvanized. There are millions of pro-life people who are passionate about protecting children in the womb, their mothers and families. And they want to see candidates and politicians who are going to lead boldly on this, acknowledging the science, acknowledging the reality of life in the womb, and fighting for the legal protections that these children deserve.
Yeah, well, states that have some sort of ban on abortion have seen the abortion rate drop by 96%. So maybe we just need to change our definition of what is winning in the movement as well.
Well, you're right. And in these states, I mean, like Texas that has a heartbeat law and then abolished abortions basically completely after Roe v. Wade fell. And then in Florida, Governor DeSantis just signed the heartbeat law. They're protecting children after six or seven weeks after fertilization. These states, these governors won their reelection campaigns. Governor DeSantis won in a landslide. So life is a winning issue at the polls.
Yeah, life wins. And we really thank you for always fighting for that. Lila Rose, live action. Thank you.
